The Belgian Laiterie des Ardennes has reduced the milk price for December last year by €3,00 compared to the previous month. The cooperative is suffering from rapidly falling prices for butter, milk powder and mozzarella, among other things.
The milk price at the legal Belgian contents will decrease from €53,00 per 100 liters to €50,00. The price at real contents goes to €52,67 per 100 liters. LDA is therefore the lowest paying major Belgian processor for the time being, as is also evident from the Belgian Milk Price Comparator van Boerenbusiness.
On average over the entire year of 2022, the company certainly does not look bad. The average advance price at real contents and an annual delivery of 1,3 million liters is €54,61 per 100 liters. That is 16 cents less than Milcobel does, but a possible additional payment could easily change that situation. It is certainly more than Arla pays on average in advance (€53,91), but less than A-ware and FrieslandCampina pay. These successively amount to €56,89 and €55,50 per 100 liters.
