Belgian LDA lowers January price by 4 euros

With the reduction, LDA arrives at a milk price at the legal Belgian contents of €46 per 100 liters. This sets the lowest milk price for this month.

One of the reasons is that LDA mainly makes products for the B2B market, such as butter, milk powder and mozzarella. These products go to other food manufacturers or are exported. This means that LDA's milk price usually responds very quickly to market signals.

The milk price at real contents (4,3% fat and 3,5% protein instead of 4,2% and 3,4%) and with an annual delivery of 1,3 million kilos, amounts to €48,46 per 100 litre. See also the Boerenbusiness Belgian Milk Price Comparator.
