Now the number of members in Belgium is quite small with about 25. Together they supply almost 40 million kilos of milk. In addition, there are more than 170 suppliers with an unknown volume of milk. The company expects that the number of members will increase and the number of suppliers will decrease.
This must be done, among other things, by persuading suppliers to become members. This is possible on extra attractive conditions. Companies that are not yet familiar with FrieslandCampina are also welcome. Both as a member and in the capacity of supplier.
The company would still like to retain suppliers who do not want to buy in and do not want to become members. For them there is a 'loyalty premium' of €1 per 100 kilograms of milk delivered. The condition is that they supply milk for the entire calendar year and have not canceled. In addition, FrieslandCampina has increased the purchasing certainty by guaranteeing the purchase of milk for a period of 10 years (years 2022 to 2031), unless unforeseen events occur.
