Leerdammer follows in lowering milk price
Lactalis Leerdammer claims to be taking a step back with the milk price for April compared to March. It's a slightly bigger step than last time. It is just as big a step as FrieslandCampina has taken.

With the reduction of €5,76, Leerdammer's basic milk price for April amounts to €43,74 per 100 kilos. This positions the private cheesemaker according to the Boerenbusiness milk price comparator between DOC Kaas and FrieslandCampina, but clearly below A-ware and Arla.

Lactalis Leerdammer has a number of surcharges on top of the basic milk price for, among other things, grazing and Vlog. The surcharge for Vlog (€1,25) will stop in September. Last month, the company introduced another new surcharge. This is a plus on the regular quantity surcharge. Anyone who supplies more than 100.000 kilos of milk per month receives a quantity surcharge of €2,50 per 100 kilos.
