The average Dutch milk price has lost more ground in March. Not a doubling of the decrease, as in February, but an extra three quarters. The organic milk price is holding up better.
The average basic milk price was based on the Boerenbusiness Milk price comparator works out at €49,31 per 100 kilos. This amounts to a decrease of €5,46 per 100 kilos. In February, the milk price fell by an average of €4,71. The average meadow milk price remained above €50 per 100 kilos and amounted to €50,78. Arla pays out the highest milk price on average. A lower average is expected again for April.
The organic milk price remains more stable and fell by an average of €1,90 in March, from €65,12 to €63,22 per 100 kilos. Here too, Arla sets the average highest milk price, according to the Boerenbusiness Organic milk price comparator. Eko-Holland, which has not yet been fully included in the comparator, has recently rivaled Arla. This cooperative pays a slightly higher milk price for March (and also April).
