Milk price Vreugdenhil among the firmer fallers in May
For the month of May, Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods belongs to the group of steeper declines. Yet the company is not at the bottom in terms of milk price; slightly further back in the peloton. The organic milk price will also drop a few euros.

The basic milk price for the month of May is according to the Boerenbusiness Milk price comparator works out at €40,78 per 100 kilos, which is €3,22 less than the milk price for April. The meadow milk price amounts to €42,28 per 100 kilos. These prices apply to an annual supply of 1 million kilos, excluding VAT and after deduction of 5 cents per 100 kilos of contribution for ZuivelNL.

Since this year, some of the Vreugdenhil suppliers can earn extra income by participating in a sustainability program with Nestlé, which rewards emission reductions. This is not related to milk price, but it is dairy farmers' income.
Vreugdenhil's organic suppliers will also receive a lower payment for their milk for May. The organic milk price will decrease by €3,03 from €60,67 per 100 kilos to €57,64 per 100 kilos.
