Laiterie des Ardennes has kept the milk price stable for the third month in a row in May. This improves the relative position of the company in the Belgian dairy sector.
With an annual delivery of 1,3 million liters, LDA pays a standard milk price of €40,00 per 100 liters in May, just as Royal A-ware does, for example. At real levels and after settlement of deductions and surcharges, the result at LDA is ultimately a milk price of €42,08 per 100 liters.
Strikingly enough, for the stated delivery volume, this is the same as what Milcobel pays, while it has set a standard price of €39,00 per 100 liters for May.

In the first months of this year, major processors such as Arla and FrieslandCampina paid clearly higher prices than, for example, Milcobel and LDA. That situation has now reversed. LDA will pay out more milk money for May than the two dairy giants.
With the mentioned price of €42,08 per 100 liters, the processor from Wallonia is just below the average of the Boerenbusiness Belgian Milk Price Comparator. This is €42,10 per 100 liters and is €1,11 lower than the monthly average for April.
