Cono Kaasmakers lowers milk price and climbs
Cono Kaasmakers is implementing a slight reduction in the (advance) milk price for June, but continues to rise in the ranking of better payers. The average milk price of all processors together also fell, but again more slowly than in previous months.

Due to a small correction of €0,35, Cono's basic milk price for June amounts to €40,65 per 100 kilos, according to the Boerenbusiness milk price comparator. This means that the cheesemaker from the Beemster is still below the monthly average of €41,28 per 100 kilos. One processor pays less.
However, the average milk price paid by Cono is much higher and is close to the maximum milk price of €45,15 per 100 kilos. With that price, Cono is in the top 3 of best payers for June. Only A-ware and FrieslandCampina can earn more milk money from some livestock farmers. This shows that Wim Betten's milk price strategy, which was introduced last year, has proven itself.
On average over June, the basic milk price of the processors fell in the comparison Boerenbusiness by 74 cents per 100 kilos from €42,02 to €41,28 per 100 kilos. The (arithmetic) average meadow milk price fell to €42,75 per 100 kilos and the maximum milk price went to €45,17 per 100 kilos.
In July, the milk price seems to fall a little more slowly, but it does not mean that the time for milk price reductions is over. Dairy companies complain about difficult retail sales.
