Current milk price down more sharply in July
The average milk price at the seven larger dairy processors in the Netherlands fell slightly faster in July than in June. Then the decline seemed almost to a halt. The organic milk price increased slightly on average.

Figures from the Boerenbusiness Milk price comparator shows that the average milk price fell from €41,28 to €40,47 per 100 kilos in July. This meant that the average price fell by 81 cents per 100 kilos. In June the milk price decline seemed to slowly come to a halt. Since the beginning of this year, the milk price has sometimes fallen by many euros per month. By June the rate of decline had slowed to 74 cents per 100 kilos.
So in July the price was reduced slightly more. Arla and Cono took the biggest steps back, FrieslandCampina and Leerdammer kept prices the same.
The choice of FrieslandCampina automatically made this company the highest payer of milk money, calculated in terms of both the basic milk price and the pasture and maximum milk price. It should be noted that the Amersfoort dairy company itself believes that this price is too high (to be able to operate sufficiently profitably). DOC Kaas remained, unfortunately for this cooperative, the red lantern bearer.
Organic milk price
The organic milk price actually moved in a different direction. This increased on average by 13 cents per 100 kilos from €57,09 to €57,22 per 100 kilos. The highest price continues to be paid by Eko-Holland, which pays €61,55 per 100 kilos in both June and July.
FrieslandCampina, as the lowest paying party, pays approximately €10,00 less per 100 kilos, according to the Boerenbusiness Organic milk price comparator. However, this is partly an optical difference because FrieslandCampina passes on a summer levy and Eko-Holland does not.
