After a seasonal decrease in June, the Dutch milk supply clearly picked up again in July, according to the latest figures from RVO. Compared to July last year, 1,8% more milk has been added. Fat production increased even more. Milking is strong compared to previous years.
Milk supply also increased again compared to June. Compared to that month, more than 18 million kilos of milk were added, which amounts to 1,6% more supply. Fat production also increased further, but the average fat content in the milk fell from 4,31% to 4,29%.
However, significantly 'thicker' milk is still supplied compared to last year. Last July, the average fat content in milk was 4,20%.

With the current milk supply, Dutch dairy farming has been clearly above the line of the previous three years since May. At the beginning of this year, it did not look like that, but during the year the milk supply continued to increase steadily, helped by the favorable weather.
