LDA lowers milk price in July with a small step

Coöperatie Laiterie des Ardennes lowers the milk price for July by €1,00 per 100 litres. The company has made this known to the members. As a result, the milk price continues to fall.

The milk price at legal Belgian contents therefore amounts to €37,00 per 100 liters. The average of the milk prices for that month in the milk price comparator is €40,53 per 100 liters. This is the arithmetic average of five processors. In June the average price was still €41,37 per 100 liters.

LDA has had a discussion in recent months about the amount of the allowances. Compared to other processors, the cooperative has relatively few surcharges on top of the basic milk price, making the difference between the legal and real milk price quite low.

The milk price of LDA is in the milk price comparator Boerenbusiness corrected retroactively to the beginning of this year. The reason is that a surcharge for sustainability has not been included, which makes a difference of €0,55 per 100 liters.
