Cono keeps August advance the same
Cono Kaasmakers keeps the advance price for the month of August the same as that for the previous month. Then a reduction of €1,50 was implemented. The average milk price drop in August was 6 cents per 100 kilos.

For most Cono members, the average advance price now remains at €43,65 per 100 kilos. That is the price including all allowances, but at Cono almost all members receive the highest milk price. The basic milk price also remains the same and stands at €39,15 per 100 kilos.
With the basic milk price, Cono is €1,26 per 100 kilos below the arithmetic average of the basic milk prices in the Milk price comparator Boerenbusiness. The maximum milk price is 85 cents per 100 kilos below the average maximum milk price for August. However, at most of these companies, a smaller group of members or suppliers receive the maximum milk price.
The comparison of milk prices for the months of July and August shows that the price decline almost completely came to a halt. From July to August, the milk price dropped by an average of only 6 cents per 100 kilos. It appears that the average milk price for September will fall more sharply again.
