FrieslandCampina is changing the top structure and thus the management of the company. According to the company, it is an important step to improve performance. The change follows the appointment of Jan Derck van Karnebeek as CEO as of June 1, 2023. There will be seven business groups, led by a 12-person Executive Team. The executive team includes Van Karnebeek, financial CEO Hans Jansen, the managers of the 7 business groups plus 3 general managers for personnel, logistics and research.
Food & Beverage in 5 parts
The current, large Food & Beverage business group will be split into five different parts, each with their own focus areas: Europe; Retail & Americas; Middle East, Pakistan & Africa; Asia; and Professional. According to the company, this expresses the diversity of the business portfolio and the different market approaches that are required. The Professional business group and the Trading business unit will both remain under the responsibility of one general manager (president). The Ingredients and Specialized Nutrition business groups remain unchanged.
The intended Executive Team appointments will take effect on October 1, 2023 and the implementation of the new organizational structure, including the seven business groups, is scheduled for January 1, 2024.
