FrieslandCampina drops guaranteed price slightly
FrieslandCampina has slightly lowered the current guaranteed price for October, despite a small positive correction over the past period. The organic guaranteed price should show a slightly larger spring and also includes a negative correction.

FrieslandCampina reduces the current guaranteed price by 25 cents to €41,00 per 100 kilos. This is in the expectation that the reference companies, which it is based on, will also reduce their farm milk prices slightly for October. This has to do with persistently lagging market demand, according to the Amersfoort company. FrieslandCampina does not report how large the effect of the positive correction has been on the new guaranteed price.
The average guaranteed price for the first ten months of this year is still €46,65 per 100 kilos of milk.
Due to the reduction, the basic milk price for conventional milk amounts to €40,23 per 100 kilos, according to the Boerenbusiness Milk price comparator.
Organic milk price
The guaranteed price for organic milk will be reduced by 50 cents in October to €53,75 per 100 kilos. This decline includes a negative correction over the past period, but here too it is unknown how large that correction is.
FrieslandCampina expects the organic reference companies to reduce their prices for organic milk slightly due to lagging market demand.
The average guaranteed price for organic farm milk in 2023 up to and including October is €58,40 per 100 kilograms of milk.
FrieslandCampina's organic milk price is according to... Organic milk price comparator from Boerenbusiness works out at €57,67 per 100 kilos. That is more than last month, which is due to the coming into effect of the winter allowance.
