28 September 2023 - Redactie Boerenbusiness - 1 reaction

DCA-Markets is introducing three new dairy quotations for the Northwest European market this afternoon (Thursday, September 28). The quotations are for full-fat milk powder (Fat Filled), Frau Antje foil cheese and Natural Cheese. DCA-Markets, a so-called Price Reporting Agency (PRA), aims to present even more dairy quotations next autumn that can serve as a benchmark in the dairy trade.

The three new dairy quotations and specifications can be found on the DCA Markets website and are announced to customers and relations every Thursday at 16:00 PM, together with the other DCA dairy quotes. Tim Vrolijk, managing director of DCA-Markets, said in a statement: "These three new quotes are in line with our aim to make most of the milk valorization in the dairy chain transparent. We publish quotes that show the current price movements in the same week. reflect this, which makes a big difference in today's volatile markets. With the quotations we offer market parties tools to achieve (fixed) price agreements."

DCA-Markets has been publishing spot prices for raw milk for years, which has been seen as the important benchmark in the liquid dairy market since 2009. Over the years, the quotations for skimmed milk concentrate, cream, Gouda and Edam foil cheese, cheddar (curd/mild), skimmed milk powder (food/feed), whole milk powder and whey powder (food/feed) have been added.
