Dairy cooperative Laiterie des Ardennes sees another opportunity to pay out more milk money. The October price goes up. This makes this cooperative the first party in Belgium to respond positively to the changed situation on the dairy market.
The plus that the company pays out is still modest. An additional 50 cents is added to the official price, as quoted in Belgium. The price for legal contents goes to €35,50 per 100 liters. The milk price at real contents, of 3,5% protein and 4,3% fat, goes to €37,79 per 100 liters, as also indicated in the Belgian Milk Price Comparator. The current increase is a first step, it is indicated.
The company benefits from, among other things, higher milk powder prices. The company sells some of the milk powders produced at the GDT internet auction. The intention is to offer more products at this auction in the near future.
In the coming year, LDA also wants to continue working on the sustainability program, which will enable members to receive higher compensation.
