Cooperative Laiterie des Ardennes (LDA) has seen a jump in the milk price in November. A leap that also puts it above the price of some competitors. The improving dairy market is doing its job.
The milk price based on the Belgian legal contents has been increased by €2,00 from €35,50 to €37,50 per 100 liters. The milk price at real contents will increase from €37,90 to €40,04 per 100 liters, as can also be seen in the Belgian Milk Price Comparator van Boerenbusiness.
The result is that LDA's milk price now occupies a solid middle position again, between Arla and Milcobel on the one hand and A-Ware and FrieslandCampina on the other.
LDA benefits, among other things, from the high cream price. The cooperative has also been selling milk powder for a number of months, and recently also mozzarella, via the GDT platform. The company also hopes to be able to respond quickly to price developments in the dairy market.
