Ammerland trumps DMK with milk price in Germany
The milk prices that farmers in western Northern Germany receive so far this year are significantly behind what they received last year. The difference amounts to €12,00 to €15,00 per 100 kilos, the Landwirtschaftskammer and farmers, among others, report. Cooperative Molkerei Ammerland appears to be the best payer.

The figures for the first ten months of this year show that Ammerland pays the best milk price so far with an average of €44,10 per 100 kilos, while DMK, the largest German cooperative, does not exceed €39,90. This company has set higher prices for November and December, but the average milk price for the entire year has not yet increased.

By the way, DMK is not the worst payer. Private cheese maker Rucker paid an average of €39,70 per 100 kilos. Milchliefergenossenschaft Ost-Friesland (MLO), a supplier cooperative, pays almost €42,00 per 100 kilos. These prices apply to contents of 4,2% fat and 3,4% protein.
Last year, MLO paid out €54,52 per 100 kilos. Cooperative Ammerland paid out the most milk money at €56,74, while DMK paid €53,46. For Vlog milk, an additional €0,75 to €1,30 per 100 kilos was added.
