With a significant increase in the payment price for January, DOC Cheese is gaining ground in the Milk Price Comparator Boerenbusiness.
DOC increases the milk price this month by €2,81 to €43,27 per 100 kilos. This price is calculated based on the standard Dutch contents for an annual supply of 1 million kilos. In the basic milk price comparator, the dairy producer from Hoogeveen passes Leerdammer Lactalis and Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods, although the differences are small.
Including the maximum bonuses and premiums that can be achieved, the milk price amounts to €46,77 per 100 kilos. Since this year the maximum bonus that can be achieved has increased by €0,25 to €3,50. This is due to a newly introduced climate surcharge of €0,50. The grazing premium has been reduced by €2024 to €0,25 as of 1,50.
In the milk price comparator, the sustainability aspects are regarded as a plus on the basic price as of this year and have therefore been removed from it. The reason is that dairy companies are increasingly distinguishing themselves with sustainability bonuses and the differences in payment for these are increasing. This clouds the picture. In the new design, the basic milk price appears lower, but that is because the reward for sustainability is displayed elsewhere.
