The VanDrie Group has achieved an extremely solid result for 2022. Turnover grew faster than profit. The strongest growth was achieved outside Europe, according to the filed annual report.
The turnover of the company as a whole grew by 27% from €2.754 million in 2021 to €3.491 million in 2022. Bottom line, profit increased by 10% from €103 million to €114 million.
The activities of the VanDrie Group are spread over three areas: dairy trade, animal feed and activities in the veal calf sector. These are interrelated, but must also take care of themselves. The annual report does not provide insight into the development of the individual activities, but it is known that the dairy trade accounts for a growing share of turnover.
An increasing proportion of calves are used at close range for veal calf farming, although the group also has veal farming activities in France and Italy (as well as dairy and feed activities). The company will not make any major acquisitions in 2022. In 2022, only the takeover of Joosten Products in Weert took place.
The VanDrie Group achieves the majority of its turnover in Europe, outside the Netherlands. Turnover there grew in 2022 from €1872 million to €2274 million (+18%). Within the Netherlands, turnover grew from €361 million to €447 million (+24%). The most impressive results were achieved outside Europe. There, turnover increased from €521 million to €769 million, or by 32%. The profit for the year 2022 has been added to the company's reserves.
