Denkavit, veal calf integration and producer of young cattle feed, looks back on a strong 2022. The company from Voorthuizen is growing steadily and is reaching more and more markets worldwide. Compared to industry peer VanDrie Group, turnover rose slightly more slowly, net profit rose slightly more.
Denkavit's total turnover was just over €900 million, an increase of more than 24% compared to the previous year. The net result increased by 11,4% from €14 million to €15,6 million. The profit for 2022 was added to the total operating assets, resulting in a slight increase in equity.
The growth that Denkavit achieved in 2022 is mainly due to strongly increased sales outside the European Union, especially of young animal feed. These sales increased from almost €94 million to more than €171 million, or by 82%. Denkavit has had a number of subsidiaries outside the EU for some time, especially in the US, and also has sales points elsewhere around the world. Holland Agro Trading, a subsidiary for the Chinese market, was also founded in 2022. Denkavit also employs Chinese-speaking employees.
Turnover within the EU also grew, but much less rapidly at 16,5%. It still accounts for the majority of company turnover. In addition to the Netherlands, Denkavit also has branches in Germany, France and Italy.
Denkavit continued to develop last year, including with the acquisition of the milk substitute activities of the British Volac.
