Cono Kaasmakers has slightly increased the milk price for February. This means that it still scores low in terms of basic milk price, but in terms of meadow milk price and maximum milk price, the worst times are over. On reflection, the past year may not have been too bad either.
Cono has implemented an increase of €0,73 per 100 kilos in February, which increases the basic milk price according to the Boerenbusiness Milk price comparator works out to €43,54 per 100 kilos. This is the price excluding VAT and after deduction of 5,5 cents per 100 kilos for the contribution for ZuivelNL, for an annual supply of 1 million kilos. This means that the gap with FrieslandCampina is €1,62 per 100 kilos.

However, at Cono there are hardly any members left who still receive a basic milk price, especially since the departure of a number of members from this category at the end of last year. The vast majority of Cono members receive the maximum milk price or something close to it. This means that Cono only has to beat two other parties in February: FrieslandCampina and Royal A-ware.
The North Holland cooperative is not yet completely back where it wants to be, but work is continuing steadily to increase results again.
Post payment
According to unconfirmed reports, the result for 2023 will also be less bad than first thought. Last fall, it was reported from member meetings that there would be no additional payment. Lately there have been indications that there may still be something to distribute among the members.
