Dairy company A-ware has increased the current milk price for March by 75 cents per 100 kilos, placing it between FrieslandCampina and Arla. With the organic milk price, A-ware is taking a double step.
With the increase, the dairy company arrives at a basic milk price of €45,14 per 100 kilos. That is 52 cents less than what FrieslandCampina pays. Including surcharges, the maximum milk price at A-ware can amount to €51,89 per 100 kilos. This prize is paid to dairy farmers who participate in Albert Heijn's Beter-Voor program. Anyone who participates in the Planet Proof program at FrieslandCampina and does everything right can receive 6 cents more per 100 kilos. On average, A-ware says it pays more than FrieslandCampina.
The organic milk price for March has now been increased by €1,50 per 100 kilos to €57,39 per 100 kilos. Compared to many other processors, A-ware also had something to catch up on. Belgium
In Belgium, A-ware also increases the milk price by 75 cents, bringing the milk price there to €44,77 per 100 liters, according to the company's statement. The milk price at the Belgian legal content is €41,50 per 100 liters, but these legal contents no longer correspond to reality. Moreover, this calculation does not take into account a number of allowances that dairy farmers do receive in practice.
