Laiterie des Ardennes increases the milk price for February and thus maintains a solid middle position in the Belgian situation. The cooperative can rise thanks to good results on, among other things, the GDT and an increasing reputation in the market.
The Belgian dairy market remains competitive and processors must do their best to remain attractive to dairy farmers. LDA has been able to keep up well in that game so far, although it does not always pay the highest milk price, see Belgian Milk Price Comparator van Boerenbusiness. The cooperative does promise members a fixed additional payment as a supplement.
In January the milk price was no longer increased compared to December, but there is a higher payment for February. The milk price at the legal Belgian contents will be increased by 50 cents to €40,50 per 100 liters. The milk price at real contents will be increased from €43,52 to €44,12 per 100 liters (with an annual delivery of 1 million liters).
This means that LDA once again occupies a middle position among the other four major Belgian processors.
