The Belgian dairy cooperative Milcobel has kept the milk price the same for May for the third time in a row. Fellow cooperative LDA has increased the milk price for March by 54 cents per 100 liters.
Due to the increase, both cooperatives now charge a milk price at Belgian legal contents of €41,00 per 100 liters. According to Milcobel, this corresponds to a real milk price paid of €45,25 per 100 liters, but at maximum premiums.
According to the Boerenbusiness Belgian Milk Price Comparator LDA's April milk price for an annual delivery of 1,3 million liters amounts to €44,66 per 100 liters. On top of that, up to 70 cents in premiums can be received. Milcobel's comparable milk price amounts to €44,76 per 100 liters. On top of that, up to €1,00 in additional premium can be received.
The milk prices of the Belgian cooperatives range between those of Arla on the one hand and those of A-ware and FrieslandCampina.
