FrieslandCampina further increases milk price
FrieslandCampina's guaranteed price will also increase in July. This is the seventh increase in a row, giving the dairy cooperative its leading position in the Netherlands Boerenbusiness Milk price comparator will temporarily take over from Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods.

FrieslandCampina increases the guaranteed price by €0,25 to €48 per 100 kilos, which is the highest level since March last year. In the Milk Price Comparator, the basic milk price is €47,16 per 100 kilos. Including allowances linked to the PlanetProof milk flow, the payment price will increase to €53,46 next month.
The basic milk price is slightly higher than that paid by Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods, current leader in the Milk Price Comparator, in June. By a fairly significant increase grabbed the powder manufacturer spontaneously took over the lead from FrieslandCampina, which had been comfortably in the lead in the months before.
The recent increase in prices for butter and cheese in particular has also created room to further increase the milk price. FrieslandCampina indicates that the higher guaranteed price is based on the expectation that the reference companies are likely to increase the milk price slightly.
