The Frisian milk processor Hochwald Foods has achieved the highest basic milk price in the Netherlands for the month of July. This is evident from the figures Boerenbusiness features.
Hochwald paid a basic milk price of €47,90 per 100 kilos over the past month. That is 30 cents above DOC cheese, the current leader in the Netherlands Boerenbusiness Milk price comparator. The maximum milk price for July is €50,20 per 100 kilos.
Hochwald Foods, a subsidiary of the German cooperative Hochwald, will soon have an official place in the Boerenbusiness Dutch Milk price calculator. This will eventually allow the payment prices of 8 Dutch processors to be compared with each other.
Compared to May, Hochwald increased the milk price by 51 cents per 100 kilos, which is a fraction more than the average increase in July (+49,5 cents). Four companies have also already announced the milk price for August. On average they increased the milk price by €1,08 per 100 kilos, which is more than twice as much as the July average.
