Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods has increased its milk price for August almost as much as industry peer A-ware. The company from Nijkerk scores the highest basic milk price in the Netherlands for the time being and the highest milk price to date in Belgium.
In the Netherlands, the milk price will be increased by €1,34 per 100 kilos to €48,70 per 100 kilos. This is almost €0,30 more than FrieslandCampina's basic milk price. The maximum amount you can receive (including all premiums and surcharges) is €50,80 per 100 kilos.
This is for an annual supply of 1 million kilos, excluding VAT and after deduction of contribution for ZuivelNL. With higher fat and protein contents, the milk price is of course higher, as can be calculated via the Boerenbusiness Dutch Milk price calculator.
The organic milk price is kept the same at €57,30 per 100 kilos. The Belgian milk price will be increased by €1,29 to €48,32 per 100 liters. This is also the highest milk price that has been set so far for August. See also the Belgian Milk Price Comparator van Boerenbusiness. Vreugdenhil will soon be included in this.
The company started collecting milk in Belgium in April and still has a relatively limited number of suppliers there. The company wants to make further changes to this in the near future and is therefore on the market with a competitive milk price.
