Arla Foods is stepping up its milk price increase. In August, it increased by more than 50 cents per 100 kilos, for September it is an average of €1 per 100 kilos. However, the company is opting for a relatively cautious increase.
For the Netherlands, the bare milk price for conventional milk will increase by 97 cents per 100 kilos to €47,44 per 100 kilos. A maximum of €52,25 per 100 kilos can be received. See de Boerenbusiness common milk price comparator before September.
In Belgium is going to increase the current milk price up by €1,05 to €47,53 per 100 litres, while a maximum of around €52,30 can be received.
The organic milk price is also going up. For the Netherlands it will be €63,15 per 100 kilos. See the Organic Milk Price Comparator van Boerenbusiness.
With the latest increase, Arla is taking a more cautious step up than FrieslandCampina. Arla also seems to lag considerably behind FrieslandCampina in terms of bare milk price, but thanks to a large number of stackable allowances, an Arla farmer still receives a reasonably good milk price, which comes closer to the FrieslandCampina price than it seems at first glance.
