Arla Foods is raising the milk price for October, just like FrieslandCampina, but is giving it a little less gas than its Dutch competitor. According to Arla, the tight availability and expensive milk fat are driving up prices.
In the Netherlands, the current Arla milk price will increase by €2,14 per 100 kilos, for both conventional and organic milk. According to the Boerenbusiness Milk price comparator the current milk price in the Netherlands comes to a basic level of €49,58 per 100 kilos. In practice, 60 cents is added for all kinds of things that are also included in the standard package at Arla. Up to €3,60 can be added to that in surcharges.
In Belgium, the basic price increases by €2,06 per 100 litres, to €49,59 per 100 litres.
The organic milk price of Arla in the Netherlands will also increase by €2,14 to €65,29 per 100 kilos. This price can increase even further with the help of a number of surcharges.
