Piet Hilarides will become the new CEO of Agrifirm as of 1 December. He will succeed Dick Hordijk, who will be leaving in 2025 after a period of 8 years. Hilarides is an experienced dairy industry veteran and worked for FrieslandCampina for 23 years.
The Supervisory Board of Agrifirm is pleased with the arrival of Hilarides, because of his national and international cooperative experience in the agro and food sectors. They therefore see him as the suitable CEO to lead the coming strategic period.
This will not an easy period be, given the shrinking livestock population. Agrifirm itself also foresees the necessary changes for itself, in view of the current dynamics in the agricultural sector.

Hilarides started his career at PepsiCo. He then worked for 23 years in various roles at FrieslandCampina. Here he led the cheese and milk powder divisions, among other things.
He was also active in Asia for the dairy cooperative from Singapore, where Agrifirm also has interests in China. His most recent position was as CEO of Baladna, a listed dairy company in Qatar. He has been active there since 2021.
