Milcobel catches up with milk price in November
Cooperative Milcobel has achieved a solid result in the past month and is letting its members profit from it. As a result, the dairy producer is once again catching up with the competition with the milk price.

The cooperative increases the standard milk price for November by €1,50 to €50,00 per 100 litres. This results in a real milk price (with higher fat and protein contents) and an annual supply of 1,3 million litres of €52,70. With this price, Milcobel is close to the pack in Belgium, as is evident from the Boerenbusiness Belgian Milk Price Comparator.
The price mentioned is the basic milk price. On top of that, a sustainability surcharge of €1,00 per 100 litres can be earned. Members can receive a maximum milk price of €54,59 per 100 litres, reports Milcobel. This price applies to the highest volume surcharge plus other surcharges.
Milcobel has done well not only on the market but also as a producer of quality cheeses, she reports. During the annual World Cheese Awards, a British cheese championship, Milcobel cheeses won seven medals: one silver and six bronze.
