Organic suppliers' cooperative Eko-Holland has been increasing the advance price for organic milk since August by fixed steps of one euro per month. In doing so, Eko-Holland is following a different rhythm than its biggest competitor FrieslandCampina. On average over the entire year, Eko-Holland's advance price is the highest.
With the latest increase of €1,00, the advance price of Eko-Holland for December, according to the calculation of Boerenbusiness out to €66,05 per 100 kilos (excluding VAT and with a delivery of 1 million kilos per year). Averaged over the entire year, the advance price comes to €62,13 per 100 kilos. That is a few euros per 100 kilos higher than the average advance of FrieslandCampina, which comes to €58,49 per 100 kilos.
However, the calculation of the average advance payment over the entire year does not take into account the total volumes delivered per month. Both cooperatives also pay a subsequent payment on top of the advance price, which can further reduce or increase the difference in milk price.
Eko-Holland has also increased the biodynamic milk price for December by €1,00 to €71,05 per 100 kilos.
