Cono Cheesemakers has raised the average milk price for November to the level of FrieslandCampina. This is evident from a comparison of the Cono price with the Integral milk price of FrieslandCampina. In terms of bare milk price, Cono is still lagging behind.
Both the Cono price and the FrieslandCampina Integral milk price are still relatively new 'products'. Cono has been publishing an average paid price since June, FrieslandCampina has been publishing an Integral milk price since November. These prices apply not only to the average paid milk prices and bonuses, but also to the average factory volume.
Cono's bare milk price for November should be €54,52, but Cono has not yet announced fat and protein prices. This means that Cono is not a frontrunner, as can be seen from the Boerenbusiness Milk price comparator.
Compared to the weighted average milk price of A-ware (the WP), both milk prices mentioned above still have a step to take. A-ware has been using the WP for a number of years. It was initially intended as a counterpart to the Guaranteed Price of FrieslandCampina, but the Guaranteed Price of FrieslandCampina does not include any surcharges paid by FrieslandCampina. That is why FrieslandCampina introduced an Integrated Milk Price, to enable a better comparison.
