Vreugdenhil paid out the highest milk price in 2024
Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods has further increased the milk price for December. Looking back over the whole of 2024, the powder producer has in the Milk Price Comparison of Boerenbusiness average the highest basic milk price achieved. Several processors must still announce the milk price for this month, but will most likely not exceed this.

For December, Vreugdenhil is implementing an increase from €1,74 to €56,63 per 100 kilos. In the Milk price comparator Vreugdenhil retains second place, behind Lactalis Leerdammer, which tops the list as in November. Including premiums for sustainability and grazing, the payout price can rise to a maximum of €58,73 per 100 kilos. The above prices are calculated with the standard fat and protein contents and an annual supply of 1 million kilos.
Throughout 2024
Except for January, Vreugdenhil was in the top three every time. The average milk price for the whole of 2024 is €48,72 per 100 kilos. That puts them in the lead, just above FrieslandCampina (with a difference of €0,09 per 100 kilos). A-ware follows. Processors such as DOC Kaas, Cono Kaasmakers and Hochwald have yet to publish the December milk price, but on average they can hardly exceed this with their advance prices.
It is good to realize that Vreugdenhil as a private company does not pay out bonuses or a back payment, unlike the cooperative processors. The actual highest payout price can only be calculated in mid-2025, when the back payments have been announced.

Belgium
The milk price of Vreugdenhil in Belgium will increase this month by €1,68 per 100 kilos, calculated on an annual delivery of 1,3 million kilos. In the Milk price comparator For Belgium, Vreugdenhil is currently between frontrunner FrieslandCampina and A-ware. The Belgian dairy cooperative Milcobel has yet to announce the December milk price.
