Milcobel has been able to increase the last monthly payment of this year thanks to a 'positive flow' in the results. As a result, the company has not yet noticed much of the weakening quotations. It can also expect a modest additional payment.
The result is that the standard milk price for December is increased by €1,50, to €51,50 per 100 litres. With real contents and an annual volume of 1,3 million litres, this means an increase of €1,54, from €52,70 per 100 litres in November to €54,24 per 100 litres in December. As a result, Milcobel is still paying more than Arla, but not more than FrieslandCampina, A-ware or Vreugdenhil, as is apparent from the Boerenbusiness Belgian Milk Price Comparator.

Milcobel expects to be able to reduce the difference, however, because a subsequent payment of at least €2024 per 0,50 litres is provided for the entire year 100. At least that is the forecast based on the current figures.
The board of directors of Milcobel believes that the company is back on track with the current results. Not only can the milk price follow the market well and sometimes even remain at a good level when the market seems to falter. A subsequent payment can also be paid and the year can also be closed positively, it is reported. According to the company, this is the result of a successful restructuring at the beginning of this year in combination with a diversified product portfolio and a strict pursuit of greater efficiency.
