A-ware has lowered milk prices in the Netherlands and Belgium at the start of the new year, although the drop was slightly less than that of FrieslandCampina's Guaranteed Price.
A-ware is reducing the basic milk price in the Netherlands by €1 to €55,31 per 100 kilos. The December premium of €0,50 has also been abolished with effect from the new year. Furthermore, A-ware announces that the quality surcharge has been increased by €0,25 to €1 per 100 kilos with the turn of the calendar. For dairy farmers who meet the set standards, the reduction in the payment price is therefore in reality €0,75 per 100 kilos.
