With the recently updated data on New Zealand's milk supply, the milk supply figures for the entire year are complete. This makes it clear how New Zealand 2024 performed compared to previous years. There is a plus in that, as figures from New Zealand's DCANZ show.
With 2.649.000 tonnes of milk in December 2024, New Zealand's supply is above the level of December 2023. An increase of 1,4% over a year. It is striking that the monthly milk supply figures from July 2024 onwards have been consistently higher than the previous year. In the first half of 2024, milk supply performed largely less well than in the same period in 2023.
The second half of the year has ensured that the total milk supply in 2024 was 1,3% higher than in 2023. This means that the milk supply in 2024 will be 21.531.000 tonnes. This is also more than the supply in 2022, but still well below the level of 2020 and 2021.
