Hochwald maintains high base price for January
Hochwald Foods Nederland maintains the high basic price for farm milk that the company also paid in December. This sets the company apart from the behavior of most processors in January. Almost all of them lowered.

According to the Boerenbusiness Dutch Milk price calculator the January milk price of Hochwald in the basic form is again €56,47 per 100 kilos, the highest for this month. The maximum milk price goes up to €59,17 per 100 kilos.

The only other processor that kept the milk price stable in January (and February) compared to December 2024 is Arla, but its payment level is lower.
Hochwald Foods in Bolsward collects almost all of its milk in an area fairly close to the factory and specializes in the production of condensed milk. For the production of this, it has also entered into a partnership with FrieslandCampina. FrieslandCampina has announced that it will stop producing sweetened condensed milk itself. Hochwald in turn has evaporated milk produced in Leeuwarden, as part of a strategic partnershipBoth cooperatives had been exchanging milk with each other for some time.
