Arla Foods has kept the milk price the same for the fourth month in a row. It does not mean that the price for the Netherlands remains completely flat, because small exchange rate differences cause the price to vary slightly from month to month, especially in the Netherlands.
The consequence of the Arla policy is that the basic milk price of the Scandinavian company is now higher in the Netherlands than that of FrieslandCampina, as can also be seen in the Boerenbusiness Milk price comparatorTo find a similar situation, one has to go back quite a long way in time.
Arla is confident in the competition, as was already apparent earlier this month during the presentation of the annual figures. The company is strong in consumer dairy and has confidence in the course of affairs there.
Even with the maximum milk price, Arla is now higher.
Arla can also make a difference with the organic milk price. In Belgium, Arla's basic milk price is just below the comparable milk price of FrieslandCampina, as can be seen in the Belgian Milk Price Comparator van Boerenbusiness.
At the top of the milk price spectrum, an Arla member receives more. This is mainly because FrieslandCampina does not yet have a top flow in Belgium.
