Vreugdenhil limits effect of milk price reduction
Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods has lowered its current milk price for March, but limits the decrease to such an extent that it still pays one of the higher milk prices for the month. The organic milk price is meanwhile being increased slightly.

The basic milk price for conventional milk in the Netherlands will be reduced by €1,48 to €53,27 per 100 kilos. According to the Boerenbusiness Current Milk Price Comparison This puts Vreugdenhil, together with A-ware, at a provisional highest level for this month.
For participants in the Tomorow's Dairy programme, the maximum milk price can rise to €60,07 per 100 kilos.
For Belgian suppliers, €1,46 per 100 litres is deducted from the milk price, bringing it to €51,49 per 100 litres. According to the Belgian Milk Price Comparator van Boerenbusiness still the highest price for March in this market.
The organic milk price of Vreugdenhil for March is actually increased, by €1,77 to €65,12 per 100 kilos. With this, the company does not have the highest organic milk price for March, but almost, as appears from the Organic Milk Price Comparator van Boerenbusiness.
