FrieslandCampina raises milk price in April

FrieslandCampina increases both the regular and organic milk prices for April. The regular milk price increases the most. According to FrieslandCampina because most competitors kept the milk price stable against expectations.

FrieslandCampina had actually assumed that milk prices would drop. The Guaranteed Price will increase by €1,50 to €55,25 per 100 kilos. The Integral Milk Price (guaranteed price plus maximum surcharge Foqus Planet and kwantum) will increase to €58,46 (and €59,96 at PlanetProof). 
According to the Boerenbusiness conventional milk price comparator the basic price is €54,41 per 100 kilos. This is the price excluding VAT, after contribution for ZuivelNL and with an annual delivery of 1 million kilos.

The organic guaranteed price will increase by €1,00 to €66,00 per 100 kilos. This increase is the result of corrections to previously underestimated reference prices and the expectation that the reference companies will keep their prices for organic farm milk in line with the favourable market for organic dairy products.

In Belgium, the milk price increases by €1,46 per 100 litres for conventional milk, bringing the price for suppliers to €52,82 per 100 litres. This is the cash price excluding deductions at 1,3 million litres per year.
