After four months of stability, supplier cooperative Eko-Holland is raising the base price for organic and biodynamic milk. The cooperative is thus continuing to set a leading price.
For organic (advance) milk, the price for a delivery of 1 million kilos per year will go to €67,05 per 100 kilos. That is €1,00 higher than the price in the past four months. The price for biodynamic milk will go to €72,05 per 100 kilos.
With the new organic basic price, Eko-Holland positions itself just below Arla, but above FrieslandCampina.
Arla and FrieslandCampina do apply surcharges on top of the basic price. Arla for example for FarmAhead. For April this is a surcharge of €1,98 per 100 kilos. Other, more limited surcharges also apply. FrieslandCampina has seasonal surcharges and deductions, a Foqus planet surcharge of up to €3,50 per 100 kilos and a volume surcharge of €0,50 per 100 kilos for volumes of 1,5 million kilos per year and more.
Eko-Holland also has seasonal surcharges and discounts, but handles them differently than FrieslandCampina. The latter lets them have an effect per month. Eko-Holland settles the effect at the end of the year. In addition, Eko-Holland has surcharges for, among other things, USDA-quality milk (antibiotic-free) and A2 milk. These can amount to several euros per 100 kilos.
