A-ware has further increased the milk price for May. In light of the lower dairy market in recent weeks, this is a fairly substantial increase. The milk price is also rising in Belgium. What does this mean for the position in the Milk Price Comparison?
The basic milk price increases by €1,30 to €55,86 per 100 kilos. Including the pasture premium, the payout price increases to €57,11. Participants in the sustainability program Beter Voor can expect a payout price of €63,11.
The actual milk price (factory average) this month is €59,89 per 100 kilos. In the Dutch Milk price calculator van Boerenbusiness remains A-ware FrieslandCampina just ahead. The Amersfoort dairy cooperative increased the milk price by €1,25 earlier this week. Including bonuses and premiums, the difference is greater, in A-ware's favor.
In light of the dairy market that has been moving downwards again in recent weeks, the increase at A-ware (and also FrieslandCampina) is certainly not disappointing for dairy farmers. The higher payout prices probably form an incentive to further increase milk production.
