A-ware is increasing the milk price for June, but like FrieslandCampina, it is doing so at a slower pace this month than in the previous few months. FrieslandCampina increased by 25 cents, A-ware is increasing in the Netherlands by 30 cents and in Belgium by 51 cents.
It reflects a bit of the state of affairs in the dairy market. Prices there have returned to a fairly high level and are no longer moving very fast, although the situation remains difficult to predict.
Due to the increase for June, the basic milk price of A-ware will be €56,17 per 100 kilos, the maximum milk price will be €63,17 per 100 kilos.
The WP, the actual price of A-ware, which represents the weighted average of all milk flows, will increase to €60,19 per 100 kilos.
This price is 72 cents below the Integral Milk Price of FrieslandCampina, but that has a slightly different price formula. The IP consists of the Guaranteed Price plus the maximum surcharges for either Foqus planet (+€3,50) or PlanetProof (+5,00).
The organic milk price for June keeps A-ware stable. This price therefore remains in the middle between the organic milk price of Arla, which rose in June, and that of FrieslandCampina, which fell slightly on balance. See the Boerenbusiness Organic Milk Price Comparator.
In Belgium, the basic milk price of A-ware for June will increase by 51 cents to €56,09 per 100 litres. This is well above that of both Arla and FrieslandCampina - for suppliers. Arla members can come close to the basic price of A-ware for June with the help of various surcharges, but cannot exceed it. The same applies to FrieslandCampina members.
