Cooperative Dairy Factory Rouveen achieved a turnover increase of more than 10% last year compared to 2023. Rouveen was also able to pay a higher additional payment than a year earlier.
Turnover rose from €234,7 million to €258,8 million. The largest part of the turnover was achieved with the production of all kinds of special cheeses, which were made on behalf of many different customers. Cheese turnover rose from €178,9 million to €200 million. On average, a price of €6,43 per kilo was achieved per cheese produced. Last year, this was still €6,22 per kilo.
A smaller part of the turnover, €69,8 million, came from the sale of cream, milk and whey. That too was considerably more than a year earlier (€55,8 million).
CZ Rouveen keeps the paid milk price a closely guarded secret, but there is no single milk price either. This is because the cooperative has so many different milk flows, each with its own value chain.
The cooperative's equity is solid, at around 60%, on a balance sheet of €79,5 million.
