This company, which is over 92% owned by LDA, also saw its turnover increase by around 10% (€81 million) to €916 million.
LDA's total turnover rose by €83,5 million to €946 million. The cooperative's operating profit went bankrupt, reaching €11,4 million. Net profit was €6,7 million, €3,7 million more than in 2023.

LDA's improved results are also reflected in the balance sheet, which rose by €6 million to €344 million, and in shareholders' equity, which increased by €7 million to €87,6 million. This represents 25,47% of the balance sheet total. A year earlier, shareholders' equity stood at 23,7%.
LDA also took over last year an interest in the Geris dairy business in Nederweert. According to the annual report, this represents a 25% stake. The amount involved is not disclosed.

The annual report doesn't include data on the number of members and milk supply, but according to a statement from LDA, it currently processes approximately 1,6 billion kilos of milk annually. This is done at two sites: Recogne and Badour. The latter site houses a mozzarella factory, which opened in 2021. This factory, with a current capacity of approximately 30.000 tons, is expected to be completed in XNUMX. a plan presented in May To gain up to 60.000 tons of additional capacity. This requires a significant investment, for which LDA was seeking partners. No announcements have been made about the outcome of this search, but LDA appears to be moving forward with the plans with some urgency.

The new factory also requires additional milk. Some of this can be achieved by shifting milk flows internally. LDA members can also supply additional milk, and the other Solarec partners (the Laitnaa, Avesnois-Lait, and Luxlait cooperatives) can also supply more. Other supplies will likely also be needed.

Following the announced merger between Milcobel and FrieslandCampina, LDA is the largest independent Belgian dairy company.
