AB Texel will take over the transport of horse manure and compost from CNC Grondstoffen effective October 1st. The acquisition is part of a strategic partnership recently launched by both parties. The purchase price has not been disclosed.
By divesting its transport activities, CNC Grondstoffen is seeking to refocus its operations. The company aims to be the largest substrates company in Europe by 2030. This requires a logistics partner with expertise and scale, and the company believes it has found this in AB Texel.
The acquisition also aligns with AB Texel's ambition to organize transport for agricultural partners. The company focuses on the logistics of agricultural products such as potatoes, animal feed, liquid dairy, and grains, and horse manure is now being added to that portfolio. This will continue to be done under the Amco label, as CNC Grondstoffen does now.
