FX minerals in practice at the Groot Nieuwenhuizen dairy farm
In the video about FX minerals, dairy farmer Jan van der Wind talks about his choice for flax alternative with BeddingFX® as bedding. This is a combination of short-chopped straw and Berg's innovative, natural clay minerals.

"The cows are very comfortable, and bacterial growth is significantly reduced." Besides increased comfort, Van der Wind has also experienced fewer cases of mastitis and udder health issues since using this bedding with FX minerals. "A low cell count and few udder infections on your farm immediately yield enormous financial benefits."

Van de Wind also emphasizes the ease of use and the dry bedding, thanks to the high absorption capacity of the clay minerals. Regarding the long term, he indicates that this bedding adds value to the manure because the clay minerals bind nitrogen. In short, this bedding with FX minerals is an important measure for the Groot Nieuwenhuizen dairy farm to optimize the entire cycle.

Simple management measure to further optimize the cycle
FX minerals are easy to apply without any adjustments to the barn. Since bedding costs are practically always involved, investing in a bedding that contributes to both animal health and soil fertility is a relatively small step. As dairy farmer Jan van der Wind emphasizes in the video: "Besides feed, for example, bedding is also a very important tool for optimizing the cycle. Ultimately, it's all a matter of achieving maximum and efficient production."

The added clay minerals ultimately end up back on the land via the manure. And while you might not immediately see this reflected in the figures, they contribute significantly to soil quality in the long run. Van der Wind points out: "If you don't use these products, soil quality can also deteriorate, and you really don't want that."

The specialists at Berg are happy to help you choose the right bedding: "Berg understands perfectly that it's all about the cycle. If you can play a key role in this as a (dairy) farm, you'll benefit greatly." In short, FX minerals are an accessible step towards cycle optimization, sustainability, and practical management.
