Royal A-ware has a new chairman of the Supervisory Board. Bas Alblas will head the body that oversees the dairy company's strategy and operations, effective October 1st. He succeeds Piet van Schijndel.
A-ware announced this today. Alblas has been a member of the company's Supervisory Board since 2021. He has extensive experience in the food industry, including leadership roles at Leerdammer Company, Vion Food Group, and LambWeston/Meijer. In recent years, he has focused more on oversight, serving on the Supervisory Board of Royal Cosun, among other positions.
Van Schijndel, who has a distinguished background as a director at Rabobank, served on the Supervisory Board for ten years. Under his chairmanship, the dairy producer claims to have made significant strides in sustainability and international growth. "He has made a valuable contribution to further professionalizing the role of the Supervisory Board, providing advice and support to the management and shareholders during the successful growth of recent years," CEO Jan Anker said in a statement.
